Effect of temperature and humidity on spinning processes

Temperature and humidity have a great influence on the quality of semi-finished yarn products in each process. In order to ensure the quality of yarn products, reasonable control and timely adjustment should be made. The effects of temperature and humidity on the spinning processes are described below.

Cleaning process:

When the relative humidity is too low, the fibre yarn is fragile and easy to be interrupted, which increases the short staple, the cotton roll is fluffy, and the falling cotton flying flowers of the yarn are increased.

When relative humidity is too high, yarn impurities are not easy to remove; cotton rolls are easy to stick; bundles are easy to produce; cotton rolls are easy to fold.

Carding process:

When the relative humidity is too low, the yarn has a strong electrostatic effect, the cotton web is easy to break, the falling cotton has more flying flowers, and the air consumption of the dust collector is high.

When relative humidity is too high, it is difficult to remove impurities in yarn carding; neps increase; cotton web sags and broken ends increase; burnable roller; card clothing rusts easily.

Drawing process

Low temperature: yarn sliver hair; more flying flowers; enhanced static electricity, more broken edges of cotton web, easy to winding cots.

Excessive temperature: yarn is easy to winding roller; loose strip is produced; bad drafting and worsening evenness are caused.

Roving process:

Low relative humidity: more flying yarns; more loose end breakage of roving; poor cohesion of fibers, affecting evenness; poor roving formation.

Relative humidity is too high: yarn is easy to winding roller; spindle wing tube wall is astringent, resistance is large roving swaying head; bad drafting leads to hard head.

Spinning process:

Low relative humidity: more flying yarns; increased electrostatic effect, worsening yarn evenness; increased hairiness; poor fiber cohesion; poor formation.

Relative humidity is too high: yarn is easy to winding cots around rollers; flying flowers are easy to adhere to cots and rollers; program and traveler are astringent, resulting in flying rings; broken ends increase; poor yarn evenness, more roving; network ring is not flexible.
