Economic operation of printing and dyeing industry in the first half of the year

Economic operation of printing and dyeing industry in the first half of the year

In the first half of 2020, the global spread of the epidemic has a great impact on China's printing and dyeing industry. In the first and second quarters, the main economic indicators of printing and dyeing enterprises, such as production, investment, quality and efficiency, were significantly decreased compared with the same period last year, and the industry as a whole showed a negative growth trend. Although some indicators of the printing and dyeing industry have shown signs of recovery since the second quarter, the current production and operation pressure of enterprises is still prominent, and the lack of demand is still the biggest problem troubling enterprises. The industry is facing great challenges in maintaining stable operation throughout the year.

Output decline narrowed, enterprises move forward under pressure

According to the data of the National Bureau of statistics, from January to June, the output of printing and dyeing enterprises above designated scale reached 21.995 billion meters, a year-on-year decrease of 12.04%. Since the second quarter, with the continuous improvement of epidemic prevention and control situation in China and the gradual recovery of domestic economic activities, as well as the opening of foreign markets since May, the textile terminal market demand has rebounded. From January to June, the decline of printing and dyeing fabric output of Enterprises above Designated Size in China has narrowed by 2.42% month on month.

According to the data of the National Bureau of statistics, from January to June, the proportion of three fees of printing and dyeing enterprises above designated scale was 7.53%, with a year-on-year increase of 0.71 percentage points. Among them, cotton printing and dyeing enterprises accounted for 7.16%, chemical fiber printing and dyeing enterprises accounted for 10.25%; turnover rate of finished products was 7.58 times / year, a year-on-year decrease of 30.79%; weekly turnover rate of accounts receivable was 3.59 times / year, a year-on-year decrease of 26.67%; total asset turnover rate was 0.41 times / year, a year-on-year decrease of 24.21 %。

From a month on month basis, from January to June, the proportion of three fees increased by 0.16%, the turnover rate of finished products decreased slightly by 0.32%, the turnover rate of accounts receivable and the turnover rate of total assets increased by 1.82% and 2.19% respectively, indicating that the pressure on capital turnover of enterprises has not been significantly alleviated, and the operating pressure is still large.

Nearly half of the households with economic losses deteriorated

According to the data of the National Bureau of statistics, from January to June, the main business income of printing and dyeing enterprises above designated size was 105.115 billion yuan, with a year-on-year decrease of 21.81%; the main business cost was 92.506 billion yuan, with a year-on-year decrease of 21.62%; 88% of the main business income; the profit margin of cost and expense was 3.30%, with a year-on-year decrease of 1.15%; the profit margin of sales was 3.16%, with a year-on-year decrease of 1.05%; and the total profit was 33 1.6 billion yuan, a significant decrease of 41.46% over the same period of last year; the value of export delivery completed was 15.087 billion yuan, with a year-on-year decrease of 23.95%.

665 of the 1566 printing and dyeing enterprises above the designated scale suffered losses, accounting for 42.46% of the total, with a year-on-year increase of 18.84%. The total loss of loss making enterprises was 1.887 billion yuan, up 92.37% year on year.

From a month on month basis, although the decline in the output of printed and dyed fabrics has been narrowed since June, the profit level of the enterprise has decreased slightly compared with that in May, and the pressure for improving efficiency is still great.

Exports have improved and the recovery process is slow

According to the statistics of China's customs, in the first half of the year, China's total import and export of eight categories of printing and dyeing products amounted to US $10.064 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 29.17%; and a trade surplus of 8.922 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 28.62%.

The import quantity of eight categories of printing and dyeing products was 269 million meters, a year-on-year decrease of 40.95%; the import amount was 571 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 33.19%; the average import unit price was 2.12 US dollars / meter, an increase of 13.15% year-on-year.

The export volume of 8 categories of printing and dyeing was 9.695 billion meters, a year-on-year decrease of 25.45%; the export value was US $9.493 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 28.91%; the average export unit price was 0.98 US dollars / meter, a year-on-year decrease of 4.64%.

From the month of January to June, the decline of export volume and export value of 8 categories of printing and dyeing products narrowed slightly by 0.92% and 0.63% respectively, indicating that the export situation showed signs of improvement, but the recovery process was relatively slow.

One belt, one road, the largest export market, has seen a decline of over 3 in the 1~6 and 8 categories of products, but the decline in the US and EU exports has exceeded 3. However, the decline has narrowed 2.27 and 1.08 percentage points respectively compared with May, and the number of exports and exports of the "one belt along the way" has decreased by 20% over the same period, narrowing by 0.90 and 0.64 percentage points respectively, and the export performance to Japan is relatively relatively small. Good, but with the rebound of the domestic epidemic situation in Japan since the second quarter, the decline in the number and value of China's eight major categories of printing and dyeing products to Japan showed an expanding trend, expanding by 1.63 and 2.15 percentage points compared with May.

The market operation is difficult to predict after the global epidemic spread

At present, the global epidemic is still spreading, and the prospect is still highly uncertain. The shortage of new orders in China's textile foreign trade enterprises will continue for a period of time, and the export of enterprises will continue to be under pressure. The impact of the epidemic on global supply chain operation and economic operation will continue to develop and evolve, and the pressure for China's printing and dyeing industry to maintain stable operation throughout the year is still great.

It is expected that in the second half of the year, the continuous development of national macro policies and the further release of domestic demand will provide an important guarantee for the industry economy to return to normal track.

It is hoped that China's textile industry will soon find its way out.
