Types of marking thread (embroidery thread)

(1) pure cotton fine embroidery marking thread

Pure cotton fine embroidery marking yarn thread is twisted by single yarn thread ply. There are about 40 color systems, and each color system has 6-9 color grades from light to deep. 

It can be used in combination. When pure cotton marking thread is embroidered on rough base cloth, attention should be paid to the combination embroidery. 

Otherwise, the embroidered pattern is easy to foam and expose the bottom cloth, which is uneven.

(2) Pure cotton rough embroidery marking thread

The pure cotton rough embroidery marking yarn thread is twisted by three yarns threads, and the color system is less, and the color order of each color system is 3-5. It is generally not used in stock, and at most two yarns threads are used in combination. Suitable for embroidery on linen and velvet bottoms.

(3) plywood

Hexagonal marking thread is mostly imported embroidery marking thread, which is composed of 6 strands. The marking thread itself is lustrous, and the color is elegant. Each color system contains gray elements, such as grey green, grey powder, grey blue, and so on. Joint-stock import line is most suitable for Na Yarn painting, velvet embroidery painting and so on.

(4) Machine embroidery marking thread

Machine embroidery marking thread, as its name implies, is used in sewing machines. 

It is very tough, strong and not easy to break the strands. It works well in sewing machines. 

This kind of thread is not suitable for manual embroidery, because it contains talcum powder and pulp, manual embroidery is easy to knot, embroidery thread and cloth affinity is poor, embroidery thread is not easy to flatten.

(5) Silk marking thread

Silk marking thread is a unique embroidery marking thread in southern China, just like our ink painting, only China has it. Silk marking yarn thread is suitable for embroidery on soft satin, silk and other soft undercloth, as well as double-sided embroidery on glass silk marking yarn thread. Embroidery of animals with silk marking thread has excellent effect on the expression of animal fur with its unique luster.

(6) Wool

Wool marking yarn thread is generally suitable for embroidery, including fine wool, medium and heavy marking yarn thread, thick twisted marking yarn thread and ply marking yarn thread. Note that thick twisted or ply marking yarn thread should be used for embroidery on heavy cloth.

(7) Gold and silver marking thread

Gold and silver marking thread is generally suitable for panjin embroidery and diamond embroidery. Because the texture of gold and silver marking thread is brittle, it is not suitable for complicated needle embroidery.

(8) Ribbon

Ribbon is a very fine machine-woven color belt. It is suitable for use on thick and thick base cloth, and can also be mixed with thick embroidery marking thread. The effect is very good. If we add pearl embroidery and sequin embroidery, the picture effect will be more colorful.

(9) Polyester embroidery marking thread

Polyester embroidery marking thread is characterized by being able to withstand chemical substances and washing clothes frequently to reduce the fading and decolorization of clothes. 

Therefore, many hotel uniforms, some stone milled blue jeans, sportswear or some children's clothing will be made of polyester silk marking thread. Generally speaking, polyester marking thread is tougher and stronger than rayon embroidery marking thread. 

When machine embroidery is carried out, polyester thread can withstand higher tension of embroidery machine, which can make the machine run faster, and its fire resistance is very high, even if the polyester is near the flame, it is not easy to fire. 

Polyester marking yarn thread is not as stable as rayon yarn, because its composition is polyester marking yarn thread, so it will be more elastic. 

We can cut the rayon marking yarn thread to do the experiment, pull the yarn with a little force, then let it go, we will find that the embroidery marking yarn thread does not shrink; on the contrary, pull the polyester yarn in the same way, once released, the polyester yarn will return to its original length, so there is a chance to lead to wrinkles, so adjust the tension of the embroidery yarn. In terms of location, more precise is needed.

(10) Rayon embroidery marking thread

The quality difference between rayon embroidery marking thread and polyester embroidery marking thread is very small. 

The former has the advantage of more color selection and closer to nature. 

In addition, the stability of rayon thread is higher than that of polyester marking thread. Even if it is pulled by the embroidery machine, it will not shrink significantly.
