Spun Polyester

Polyester yarn refers to the yarn spun from polyester. Polyester is a kind of fiber made from polymer by spinning. At present, polyester yarn mainly refers to the fiber made from ethylene terephthalate. It is commonly called polyester in our country.

Polyester Yarn's Classification

1. Woven yarn: Woven yarn refers to the yarn used to process woven fabrics, divided into warp yarn and weft yarn. 

Warp yarn is used as fabric longitudinal yarn, which has the characteristics of bigger twist, higher strength and better wear resistance. 

Weft yarn is used as fabric transverse yarn, which has the characteristics of smaller twist, lower strength, but soft.

2. Knitting yarn: Knitting yarn is used for knitting fabrics. The yarn is of high quality, low twist and moderate strength.

3. Other yarns: sewing yarn, embroidery yarn, knitting yarn, miscellaneous yarn, etc. The requirements for these yarns vary according to their uses.

Number of chemical fibre yarn: The roving of chemical fibre yarn is expressed by metric count "S". Large count means chemical fibre yarn, and small count means chemical fibre yarn roving.

Polyester yarn is made of 3 branches, 5 branches, 8 branches, 10 branches, 12 branches, 16 branches, 21 branches, 26 branches, 28 branches, 32 branches, 40 branches, 50 branches, 60 branches and 80 branches.

Air-jet spinning of polyester yarn is a new spinning method. The product has a unique style. The properties of air-jet yarn fabrics are obviously different from those of ring-spun yarn fabrics.

Air-spinning polyester yarn is a new spinning technology which uses air to coagulate and twist the fibers into yarns in a high-speed rotating spinning cup. It does not use spindles, mainly rely on combing roller, spinning cup, false twisting device and other parts. The carding roller is used to grasp and comb the sliver fibers fed, and the grabbed fibers can be thrown out by the centrifugal force produced by his high-speed rotation. The spinning cup is a small metal cup. Its rotating speed is more than 10 times higher than that of the combing roller. The centrifugal effect of the spinning cup causes the air in the cup to flow out. According to the principle of fluid pressure, the cotton fibers enter the air cup and form a flow of fibers, which moves continuously along the inner wall of the cup.

Main uses of polyester

Early polyester filament was mainly used in silk garments. With the development of various processing technologies, polyester filament has expanded to wool-like, linen-like, cotton-like and other clothing fields, and developed to decoration, industry and non-fibrillation. Especially recently in Japan, new synthetic fibers made of polyester filament are popular in the garment industry. The so-called new synthetic fibers are synthetic fibers that are novel, unique and transcend the style and feeling of any kind of natural fibers. It has changed people's concept of wearing, and has changed from warmth and beauty to comfort, health, novelty and artistry. Therefore, the use of polyester filament becomes more extensive.

Clothing:The traditional use of polyester filament is silk imitation yarn, which is used for women's shirts, men's and women's coats, skirts, pajamas and scarves. 

The soft silk imitation yarn can be made by twisting the fine filament strongly before deformation. 

It is suitable for making high-grade dresses and "granny's shirts" worn by middle-aged and old women. 

Coarse textured yarn can be made into wool fabrics for suits, coats and ties, but the dimensional stability of its knitted fabrics is not ideal. Mixed filament yarn is mainly used in men's clothing, children's clothing and sportswear.

Bedding:Used as quilt cover, pillowcase, sheet, bedspread, mosquito net, table cloth and cotton wool, etc.

Decoration:Used as sofa cloth, furniture cloth, curtain cloth, curtain cloth, wall cloth, carpet, raincoat, umbrella cloth and automobile interior decorative cloth, etc.

Industrial use:Used as sewing thread, cord, conveyor belt, canvas, geotextile, filter cloth, tent, mesh and rope, etc.

Non-fibrillation:Artificial suede made of superfine fibers and used for fur coats, leather jackets, women's jackets, etc.

Woolen yarn:Roving yarn, also known as carding wool yarn or carding cotton yarn, refers to the yarn that is combed according to the general spinning system and spun without combing process. Roving yarns have more staple fibers, poor parallel straightness, loose structure, more hairs, lower yarn count and poor quality.

Waste spinning:Waste spinning refers to the yarn that is spun with textile scrap (cotton scrap) or blended with low-grade raw materials. Yarn quality is poor, soft, uneven evenness, impurity, poor color, generally only used for weaving low-grade fabrics such as coarse cotton blanket, thick flannel and packaging cloth.
